Who are we?

Created in 1963 by presidential decree number 63/250 of 04 07 1963. At creation in 1963, it had 43 villages in a total surface area of 165000km2. However, recently the number of villages dropped by one, with Kounchoun having been given to Bankim sub division of Mayo Banyo division, Adamawa Region and the surface area of the land decreased to approximately 150,000km2 Boundaries : Nwa coluncil is bounded : in the North and North East by the Federal Republic of Nigeria, in the West and South West by Bui Division, in the East by Adamawa Region and in the South East by the West Region.
